Indian Fan Manufacturers' Association (IFMA) as a part of its initiatives have with well-coordinated efforts of all the constituent members have taken up certain initiatives which apart from helping members is also serving the social obligation by serving its main stake holder, i.e. consumer in various buying categories.

  • Action against duplicate/lookalike/counterfeit products being manufactured by tiny and small scale fan assemblers.

  • In India, there is hectic manufacturing activities for electric fans in the unorganized sector of fans when mainly in peak season, month-end trade (January to July) in the domestic market and even in the overseas market, virtually round the year.

IFMA members even directly have conducted raids at such spurious fan manufacturers during the past several years apart from series of raids in different parts of India conducted by the Association through very accredited IPR agencies having good credentials and hundreds of duplicate fans have been sized and criminal action instituted against these accused.

This is not just restricted to such spurious fans finding entry into the domestic markets but IFMA is also targeting such activity through close surveillance at the ports and close liaison with customs department so as to ensure that NO branded fan is sneaking into International market with IFMA members brands.

  • In order to provide better service value, an important measurement for fan performance the different IFMA constituents keep reviewing the quality parameters/ performance and features of the fans to give value proposition to its customers.
  • Few of IFMA members have been successful in getting registered with WALMART and supplying fans.
